A cold and rainy night leads to a collision between a car and a bike. A senior constable arrives at the scene to find the bike rider on the ground and not breathing, and he immediately he attends to the rider with CPR until the ambulance arrives. Due to the heavy rain and the dark, the driver is not at fault but is clearly shaken by what has happened. Will they be able to save the cyclist, or will this accident end in tragedy?

He attempts to pull over the bike but the rider decides to try and get away resulting in a long pursuit on the highway. Over in Bendigo, a Senior Constable pulls over a young speeding driver, after the car is going 74km in a 60km zone. But when the officer gets the driver out of the car to check out the state of his car, it's not the state of his car that raises eyebrows but the state of his clothes. Then a Senior Constable is dealing with burnouts again, and this time the driver turns out to be suspended driver with no licence.

Senior Constables are called to attend a nose-to-tail in peak hour traffic as a car has been sandwiched between two trucks. A Senior Constable spots a bike speeding and also pulls over an unregistered Ute with no number plates.

A car runs a red light in front of Senior Constable and then tries to speed away. Thwarted by traffic, the driver is soon apprehended and then the officer discovers that the car is stolen with a number of additional illegal items, including drugs, cash, weapons and fake credit cards. Next, a driver is pulled over for speeding but he just can't accept the facts, and contests and argues his ticket for speeding. Then a Senior Constable arrives at an incident to find a car crashed into a fence and a drunken man protesting that he was not responsible.

Amazingly he is still conscious, and with his arm the only part of him visible, the highway patrol officers co-ordinate bringing in the rescue helicopters as teams try to cut him out. A Senior Constable comes across a group of young partygoers on the streets, and after stopping them from drinking on the streets he sends them on their way. But later that night he comes across one of the previous drinkers as they try to keep a low profile driving past the police. And an officer is patrolling the streets of Corio when a bout of road rage erupts right in front of him.

Then a Senior Constable comes across a case she has been avidly looking out for - ghost plates. These questionable plates, which are used to try and avoid speed cameras, are found on a passing car. But it becomes clear that what happened is every driver's great fear - a driver overtaking illegally straight into the path of the oncoming car. Meanwhile, a driver is caught doing 110kmh in a 70kmph zone. But he is so drunk he can't blow a breath test. Then, a driver caught speeding is so angry he speeds off from the intercept, giving himself another ticket.

Senior Constables are called to a car with a flat tyre on the bridge. But their attempts to clear the bridge are hampered by a stubborn lollipop man. Senior Constable Kate Fisher spots a driver she's pulled over many times, this time on the phone, and he attempts to continue driving on a suspended licence. Senior Constable Terry Moore is in a marked police car when a driver screams out of a side street in front of him. But the driving isn't the worst offence this man commits tonight as Terry discovers when he opens the boot of the man's car.

Sergeants pull over a driver for failing to put on his headlights, but the driver takes a vow of silence on the advice of his passenger and refuses to say anything to the Police. A Senior Constable pulls over a car that's being driven erratically and runs a red light. Then, two Senior Constables pull over a driver traveling 54km over the speed limit. The Constables follow him while he weaves in and out of traffic. Once they pull him over his excuse is that he was speeding to get to the bathroom.

A driver is caught doing 126kph in an 80 zone, and the Senior Constable soon discovers the car is also unregistered and has the wrong number plates. This adds up to a mountain of fines, but his biggest worry is getting the woman he's with home before her boyfriend finds out. A driver behaving badly is pulled over and decides to keep drinking, even though he's being breath tested! Two Senior Constables are on the tail of an unregistered bike. When the bike suddenly speeds off, the pursuit becomes dangerous, and they have no choice but to abandon it. They continue the hunt, tracking the address of the bike's owner and the story gets complicated.

Senior Constable Rose is called to an accident where a motorcycle rider is in a critical condition after being run over while trying to go between two trucks. But, the truck drivers did not stop and the police are on the hunt to find the drivers and determine whether it was a hit-and-run, or whether they're unaware of the accident. Then, when Senior Constable Byrnes pulls over an unregistered car the driver attempts to do a runner.

Senior Constable Mick McCrann is called to find a driver who's crashed and left the scene. Mick spots the car and the driver admits from the start that he has had too much to drink. Senior Constable Christine Boseley pulls over a driver for not wearing a seatbelt and finds that the driver reeks of alcohol. After he refuses a breath test, he then proclaims that there is a mistake with the machine which is showing his past drink drink-driving convictions.

An officer comes across a damaged car poorly parked in a shopping car park, yet the man behind the wheel claims he wasn't driving! A Senior Constable pulls over a driver behaving badly, who proceeds to drink in front of him. So it's no surprise he's double the legal limit. Then, a car is pulled up Senior Constable Jeremy Boncher for by driving in the hazard lane- so what's the driver's emergency?

Officers in pursuit of a speeding bike must call off the dangerous chase, however, it doesn't take them long to make a case breaking identification. Elsewhere, police are forced to restrain an angry passenger. And bizarre behaviour in a car attracts patrolling officer's attention.

Senior Constable Christine Bosley checks a vehicle that's not roadworthy but the driver isn't what she's expect either. Mick McCrann is on the hunt for a young hoon in Bendigo and finds a very belligerent driver and two distraught parents. A very young driver catches the eye of Senior Constable Nathan Ractlife and it turns out everyone in the car is between 15 and 12, including the driver.

Officer Terry Moore catches a speeding driver who is carrying marijuana, while a truck driver from Sydney has got lost on the Melbourne freeway and got stuck in a median strip after illegally taking a U-turn with his massive truck and trailer. And two adults smoking in a car with a child inside catches the eye of Senior Constable Ash Bowden.

Officers Henry and Emmanouel are called to a fatal accident at railway crossing. A drunk driver has hit a few cars on his way back from McDonalds and seems too out of it to be able to answer some easy questions. Then, officers Breer and Vellor find pills and rubber gloves in the pockets of the driver of a stolen car. And a driver travelling at 115kms in a 80km zone, doesn't seem unfamiliar with this offence.

The Highway Patrol are despatched during a rainstorm when a car spins out of control causing a massive gridlock on a freeway. Elsewhere, officers search for a driver after finding his abandoned car. And a driver is unhappy when he is busted speeding in a school zone.
