The Grand Final begins with the biggest battle in Robot Wars history, the Ten Robot Rumble!

All second and third place robots from the heats will be given one last chance to battle it out in a ten-way, no time limit, last robot standing, fight to the death - with the winner securing the Wildcard and last spot in the Grand Final.

The teams will need to have their wits about them as they try to avoid deadly arena hazards and menacing House Robots, along with nine other competitors.

Once the carnage of the Robot Rumble is over there are two brutal group battles, followed by the knockout rounds leading up to the Robot Wars Grand Final.

Episode 5 Nov 26, 2017

In the penultimate episode of the series, Expulsion, Coyote, Thor, Magnetar, Hobgoblin and Push to Exit all fight for a place in the Robot Wars Grand Final.

Georgina and her classmates from Expulsion hope to win, despite their youthful inexperience.

Magnetar and self-taught engineer Ellis are looking to prove the doubters wrong by finally building a reliable machine, and Crufts fan Shane, with his robot Push To Exit, hopes to be best in show.

Dara Ó Briain and Angela Scanlon present the action, and as always the battles are overseen by the judges Professor Noel Sharkey, Professor Sethu Vijayakumar and Dr Lucy Rogers, from the Robot Wars arena in Glasgow, with commentary by the legendary Jonathan Pearce.

Competing in this heat are Apex, Vulture, Terrorhurtz, Track-Tion, Bucky the Robot and Rapid. We begin with brutal group battles followed by exciting new knockout rounds, culminating in a ferocious final. The top two teams will face each other in the heat final for the chance to secure their place in this series' grand final. The battles are all overseen by our judges Professor Noel Sharkey, Professor Sethu Vijayakumar and Dr Lucy Rogers. During the fights teams must try to dodge arena hazards, menacing house robots and the all-new Fog of War. In the second heat of the series, returning champions Carbide mount their title defence against some of the toughest machines in the competition. Robots in this heat include runners up from last series Eruption, fellow grand finalists Aftershock, Crackers N Smash, champions Carbide, Gabriel 2 and Big Nipper. In this first explosive episode, a returning roboteer has a taste for victory, an old favourite from the original series tries to prove its doubters wrong and Robot Wars gets presidential with perhaps the world's first satirical fighting robot. The teams are tasked with surviving brutal group battles and nightmarish knockout rounds in order to make it into the heat final. The fifth episode in the robot fighting series presented by Dara O Briain and Angela Scanlon.

This episode features one of the most bizarre but certainly the tallest robot ever seen on Robot Wars - Gabriel, built by Mensa member Craig and his three sons. It has wheels as tall as a washing machine and a huge samurai sword.

Other robots include Thermidor, shaped like a lobster by a team who have never eaten lobster, and Pulsar, built by 19-year-old self-taught engineer Ellis and featuring nine thousand RPM spinning teeth. There are dramatic scenes as one of the robots bursts into flames in the arena.

This show features the former holiday camp bluecoats with their 'launcher' Apollo. Father-and-son team Kan-Opener have a robot with huge piercing claws. A team of engineering students have created a future-tech machine called Sweeney Todd that moves using mecanum motion to allow them to go in any direction around the arena, whilst PP3D has been built using a lot of 3D printed parts.

This show features an eclectic collection of homemade robots including Glitterbomb, designed by nine-year-old April, which comes complete with a huge pink axe. In a Robot Wars first, a team of students from Falkirk, Scotland, bring a robot made of wood with a petrol engine and what appears to be an outboard motor for a weapon. Family team Big Nipper have an ingenious robot with interchangeable titanium weapons made up of parts they sourced from their local scrapyard. episode 3.

In this show, we see the huge axe of Robot Thor driven by Jason, a builder from Northampton, clashing with father-and-son team Will and Ian from Team Shockwave. A consultant cardiologist and his two sons cause a huge upset as their brand new untested robot destroys much of the competition. Judge Sethu Vijayakumar discusses his work with Nasa in creating androids for the mission to Mars. In this episode, the most famous fighting robot in history, Razer, faces up against a host of other fighting robots for the chance to become the Robot Wars champion. Eight teams made up of families and friends from across the country put their homemade robots to the test. The winner at the end of this show will go forward to the grand final. episode 2.

Eight fighting robot teams battle it out to get past the initial group stage to progress into the mini league of the head to heads. The two teams with the most points after the head to heads battle it out in the heat final. Notable teams include the students from Reading with Clusterbot Nuts, The General, built in a milking shed in Wales, and the family team from Caithness, Scotland. The most famous team in fighting Robot history, Razer, makes a long-awaited appearance.

Reigning champions Eruption lead a team of some of the fiercest robots in the UK - Big Nipper, Concussion and Thor are all fighting for international glory.
