By the time Simon and Siouxsie get there, the battle is lost for this monitor lizard, and it has suffered severe injuries. The situation is not good. The two then head off to search for two green snakes that have entered a child's bedroom. It is unusual to have two snakes traveling together, which raises concern for Simon as this doubles the chance of an encounter with a deadly, venomous snake. One of them could be the deadly Boomslang or even the feared green mamba. If either of those were to bite a child, the consequences could be fatal.
